City Love
So as you all know I have made my way to the other side of the world and I am currently relaxing in the beautiful city of SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA! Here are the LONG AWAITED pictures of what I have been up to while I've been here. Are you ready? 'Cause this place is beautiful!
6/26/05 - I attended a great praise and worship service at Hillsong Church
6/27/05 - During my first outing to the City, I shot some nite pictures around the Circular Quay, like the Opera House
6/27/05 - A night shot of the Sydney Harbour Bridge
6/28/05 - My beautiful friend, Leah, picked me up from the West Sydney YWAM base where I had been staying for a few days. Here is a picture from our drive across the Anzac Bridge going toward her house.
6/28/05 - For dinner, Leah, Al & I went to dinner at a place that had really solid live jazz and great food! (A winning combo) This was not super ritzy, but it was definitely contemporary and comfortable to be in. I had the thai calamari with a salad, etc. The flavors were so well mixed, and to top it off, the band was on it! Tonight could not have been more wonderful.
There is definitely more to come. I will be updating my
journal in the morning, so check that out in the morning. For more pictures right now, click on one of the links to take you to the "visual" part of the site and just peruse through the folders and you'll be fine.
ROCK ON, LOVE YOU ALL AND I MISS YOU!!!
THIS IS IT!
Ok, kids, this is the week we've all been waiting for: departure week! There are many things that have happened since the last time I was here, all of which will be recorded some other day. But today, I cannot look behind and I must look ahead! Today is Monday, June 20th, and I officially leave these United States of America on Thursday, June 23rd. I cannot wait! Well, actually, I can, but I know that I won't have to wait for very long.
Preparation for this trip has been such a blessed time of learning. When I say blessed, I truly mean it because I the fund-raising for this trip has been covered by the provision of God's hand. It has been an incredible testimony of His faithfulness and even an incredible testimony of the people that I have surrounded myself with. There is no doubt in my mind that I am loved by these people - my friends, my family - you have all been so supportive. Because of your help, I have been able to raise $5195 US dollars! That is over half of the $9350 budget that I have made for myself (personal expense and emergency "cushion" included). Now, although this has already been such an incredible feat, there is still $4155 to raise! So if the Lord leads, please pray about what you can do to partner with me in obeying the call of the Lord for the mission field overseas.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU FOR ALL OF YOUR SUPPORT! I am humbled and I am grateful for your love and your support. And now I am off! See you on the "other side".
